Really Cool Seeds is based at Sea Spring Farm, a specialist market garden in west Dorset. Its sister business, Peppers by Post, was Britain’s first mail order chilli company, and both are owned and managed by us, Michael and Joy Michaud.

All seeds offered by Really Cool Seeds are of varieties that we have grown ourselves and are ones that we consider to be exceptional in their class. For instance, every variety has some significant worth in the garden, whether it is particularly early, easy to grow or high yielding. Then, as no vegetable is worth its place in the garden unless it is good to eat, they also all have particular value in the kitchen – they may have an especially good flavour, be used for a specific culinary purpose or could be just an exceptionally good all rounder.

For now, as it is what we know best, we are selling only seed of sweet pepper and chilli pepper varieties. But this range will expand in the near future.

Dorset Naga ® (Capsicum chinense), measuring about 1,000,000 Scoville Heat Units, is one of the hottest chillies in the world. Its scorching heat is combined with a distinctive fruity aroma makes it a truly exceptional chilli.

Harvested Dorset Naga

Dorset Naga® was developed by Peppers by Post, through a selection process over several years that started with a variable population of the Bangladeshi landrace variety known as Naga Morich. Genuine Dorset Naga® seeds are now only harvested from plants produced and grown by Peppers by Post in Dorset.

Really Cool Seeds is the only authorised seller of Dorset Naga® seeds. When buying Dorset Naga® seeds, order only from Really Cool Seeds, any substitutes will not have been exposed to the same climate and growing conditions as the official Dorset Naga®.
